RE-ARRANGE Guest Bedroom  ~  This client needed a makeover and was working with a "minimal budget". There was some confusion as how to label this small room. Is it a "guest bedroom" or an "office" ? The best solution was to make this a more functioning "Guest Bedroom".  Two pairs of "new drape panels" were installed at the outer edges of the awkward window placement. The window treatments now appear to widen the room and add the much needed color interest. Worn out window shades were replaced with "faux wood" blinds that allow easier access for opening and closing. The futon serves as a sofa and a bed and was to remain in the room. Two "new pilIows were placed on the futon. I removed the misplaced photos and shelves to allow this space to became a simple backdrop for a "new" piece of art. The office desk would be moved to another room and was replaced with a "craigslist" makeup vanity for the client's use. It is also available to any guests ( usually her visiting daughters ). The client's existing Tiffany floor lamp was brought in from another room. I added a small round end table next to the futon to conserve space in this small area. The coffee table "trunk" was stolen from a corner in the client's living room. Casters were added to the trunk base for moveability when the the futon is opened. A few table accessories complete this Makeover.

RE-ARRANGE Office Bedroom  ~  The sofa table was sold and was replaced with two chairs at the window where I added "new" window treatments to create coziness and color cohesiveness.  The client's pillows were taken from the living room and placed on the chairs for a "pop" of color.  A "new lamp" sits on top of the client's existing end table that was re-located here from her living room where it was misplaced. The sofa was removed and sold. The suspended wall cabinet was moved to an adjacent wall in this room to provide office storage. A curio cabinet was purchased on "craigslist",  to display the client's photos,  doll collectibles and mementos that were previously randomly placed  in the living room.

RE-ARRANGE Guest Bedroom ~ Shelf and photos were removed, allowing space for "new" drapes. New blinds have replaced the outdated window shades. Client purchased a new TV mount and small shelf for components. The antique trunk was moved from the client's living room and mounted on casters for mobility. Pillows were added on the futon for texture, color and interest. The not needed dresser was sold.
RE-ARRANGE Guest Bedroom  ~  Shelves and photos on both walls were removed. The office desk was moved to another room. Client purchased a make-up vanity set  in lieu of the desk. An inexpensive artwork replaced the over-done photo grouping. The dresser was sold to allow additional open space in this small room and was not needed for storage.

RE-ARRANGE Office Bedroom  ~  The two wall cabinets were awkwardly placed and inconvenient. To stay within the client's budget, I re-positioned the existing cabinets on an adjacent wall. The sofa was sold to create more open space in the room.  "New drapes" added color and texture to the room. Two new chairs provide extra seating. The floor lamp found a fresh place in the guest bedroom. Shelves from an adjacent wall in this same room, were re-mounted where the sofa once was.

RE-ARRANGE Office Bedroom ~ This junk  room was a catch-all for anything that did not have a home. The small room had no function. An "office" space was the best solution for this original bedroom. Keeping the mimimal budget in mind, the existing wall cabiinets were moved to the adjacent wall and mounted on top of a "new shelf unit" that mimicks  "hutch-like" storage above the desk which was brought in from another bedroom. The two existing shelves in this room were moved counter-clockwise and mounted on the wall where the sofa was previously located.  Artworks on the wall are the client's own items. The sofa was too large for this space and was sold. Now, everything in this "new" office has a real purpose.

RE~ARRANGE Office Bedroom  ~  A great "craigslist" CURIO consolidates client's special mementos, collectibles and photos. This OFFICE is both functional and organized.  ALL the items in  and on the top of the curio are the client's original possessions. This makeover space was created primarily by  re-arranging the client's own items. This once unused room now has a real purpose and is aesthetically pleasing.
